Develop your portfolio
Participating young artists will benefit from expert managerial guidance on how to build a personal brand and launch a career in the opera industry. Each artist will also walk away with a polished portfolio, including bespoke headshots that reflect their unique artistic identity and high-definition performance videos designed to capture the attention of decision makers, or to use for future auditions.

To make sure all participants have enough time to prepare their journey, we set two separate deadlines:

Non-EU citizens: January 1st, 2026
(Earlier deadline to allow time for visa procedures, travel arrangements, and accommodation.)

EU citizens: March 1st, 2026
(Later deadline, as no visa is required and travel within Europe is more flexible.)

We warmly welcome young artists from across the world. If you are applying from outside the EU, we strongly encourage you to submit your application by the earlier date to ensure smooth preparation and participation.
Please note that positions will be filled on a rolling basis as we receive applications from suitable candidates.
We therefore highly encourage early applications to secure your place. ​​

We will inform all applicants of their audition results, whether positive or negative. In the case of a positive outcome, you will receive an enrollment form with full offer details. Please note that the panel reserves the right to offer another available role if deemed appropriate. Once the enrollment form and offer are sent by the OperUs front office team, the candidate will have up to 7 days to confirm acceptance of the position. The enrollment procedure will be completed once:

The enrollment form is returned completed and signed within the deadlines stated on the form

Payment of tuition fees has been completed following the terms stated on the enrollment form
Once your enrollment procedure is complete, you will receive a digital package including:

Your welcome letter

The score (with cuts included)

The provisional schedule (a final version will be sent one month before the start of the program, though most activities will remain unchanged)

Information on partner accommodations with exclusive discounts for our young artists

Access to our Drive folder with further course information and learning materials

Access to our WhatsApp group, where you can connect with staff and fellow young artists before your arrival, receive priority assistance, and even coordinate possible accommodation-sharing
